as I was scrolling through my camera roll I was filled with so much gratitude. The memories shared in this video are just a glimpse of all that God has done this year! I completed my multi-media senior project, received awards, graduated, started new positions, doors opened for many artistic opportunities & collaborations, I released my first album, I performed my original music live for the first time, & more!

it wasn’t all sunshine & rainbows though. I had my struggles, but I’ve been able to reflect on them and what lessons came with them & the good that has taken place in my life.

Thank you again to everyone who has been supporting me & my art, and speaking life into me. I love you so so much!

my first art festival - ✔️

I am still kind of in awe - I really made it into my first art festival guys 🥹 this year I have been trying new things & going after opportunities even if they seem out of my reach, and to my surprise I’ve been able to accomplish so many of my goals. Don’t give up on your dreams y’all, & trust God!

At the @delandfallfestivalofthearts I met so many phenomenal artists who were very kind to me and gave me a lot of advice. I received feedback about how my paintings made people feel. A lot of people mentioned how the expressions in my portraits stuck out to them, and how they felt a lot of joy looking at them - which made me so so happy. The portrait of younger me (the cover for this reel) was the star painting lol & I also sold various art prints. The set up was a lot of work and there are things I would for sure do differently if I do another festival, but overall it was a wonderful experience.

it was so hot this day at the farmer’s market (my fellow FL people know how the summer can be 🌴 ) & chile I was out of breath bc we started the song faster than usual SO not my best performance. But you know what? I had such a wonderful time seeing so many familiar faces and engaging with people, seeing them enjoy my music 🥹 so so special !

it explores how we are “born to blossom, then fade.” This represents being alive, but passing away with no hope of redemption and life beyond this one dwelling with God. The lyrics then reflect on what the Lord has done: replanted us into His love, immersing us in beds of green to become flowers of His field. A field of eternal life in His presence, where we are clothed in splendor & beauty.

This Jamaican Independence Day, I decided to start a painting series, honoring my culture! 🇯🇲

Come along as I paint different landscapes and portraits from my time spent in Jamaica & work on honing different skills. I’ve been thinking about this concept for a series for a while now & thought today would be a great day to go ahead and start!

Come along as I paint different landscapes and portraits from my time spent in Jamaica & work on honing different skills. I’ve been thinking about this concept for a series for a while now & thought today would be a great day to go ahead and start!

Artists who are skilled in making realistic paintings: I’m looking for advice on how to achieve more realistic portraits, hoping to connect with you :) Some things I’ve started working on: soft edges, proportions, paying attention to close detail, etc.
